We have known Jim & Donna Klinge for over a dozen years, having met them in Carlsbad where our children went to the same school. As long time North County residents, it was a no- brainer for us to have the Klinges be our eyes and ears for San Diego real estate in general and North County in particular. As my military career caused our family to move all over the country and overseas to Asia, Europe and the Pacific, we trusted Jim and Donna to help keep our house in Carlsbad rented with reliable and respectful tenants for over 10 years.
Naturally, when the time came to sell our beloved Carlsbad home to pursue a rural lifestyle in retirement out of California, we could think of no better team to represent us than Jim and Donna. They immediately went to work to update our house built in 2004 to current-day standards and trends — in 2 short months they transformed it into a literal modern-day masterpiece. We trusted their judgement implicitly and followed 100% of their recommended changes. When our house finally came on the market, there was a blizzard of serious interest, we had multiple offers by the third day and it sold in just 5 days after a frenzied bidding war for 20% above our asking price! The investment we made in upgrades recommended by Jim and Donna yielded a 4-fold return, in the process setting a new high water mark for a house sold in our community.
In our view, there are no better real estate professionals in all of San Diego than Jim and Donna Klinge. Buying or selling, you must run and beg Jim and Donna Klinge to represent you! Our family will never forget Jim, Donna, and their whole team at Compass — we are forever grateful to them.
Fron the article:
It’s this sort of thing that makes me shake my head in bewilderment:
$42.0E+6 for 10K sq.ft. on one acre in Beverly Hills
versus
$10.0E+6 for roughly 9K sq.ft. on 10 acres in Malibu.
Maybe Aniston saw the Malibu listing and decided to move fast… 🙂
For $42M, does she come with the house?

She should have listed with Bob Hurwitz since he’s done such a great job with the Razor in La Jolla Farms. Only 599 DOM and counting!! Maybe since this one is in Bob’s backyard he could move it.
Jennifer The Realtor (JTR)….would like to see her tossing roach bombs into an Oside REO. Those twiggy arms wouldn’t launch it past the living room.
Just a little off the subject, who owns the federal reserve? Its very interesting. I am not a conspiracy kind of guy, but when my son told me the Fed is not a governmental entity, I thought I’d google around. This was a good historical article. http://www.usagold.com/federalreserve.html
Jim: Previous post is standard fare from right-wing conspiracy lunatics, trying to boost his/someone’s pagerank. Feel free to purge.
The Realestalker is a great site.
I highly recommend it to the bubbleinfo readers!

She’ll get about a third of her listing price when it finally sells three years from now; or almost exactly what she paid for the house prior to the renovation.
If I had the 42m to drop, I’d love to write the offer with some interesting buyer’s demands.
If you look at an air shot of the house, the entry and driveway are RIGHT by the neighbors. In one of the photos, you can see a house in the upper right hand corner…..above you.
For $42,000,000, I don’t want to see anyone.
well she’ll never get 42mill for it but she did buy it for 13.5 and probably put in at least 6 or 7 million over 2 years just to get it up to her liking. my guess is that she’s in no hurry to sell but when it does sell, i think something just south of 30 million would be fair.
