Homes built in the 1970s were known to have a simple wet bar jammed into a space the size of a coat closet.  The modern wet bar is much fancier, and can be a major component of the living space.  Here are samples:

    The new kids seem to tend to like import beers and wine, tho not as much as their predecessors, but don’t seem as well versed or interested in mixed drinks.

    I think going forward, smaller and more compact Avocado Toast Stations will be the new Wet Bars.
