That free-standing tub in the master has been all the rage of late. Clean lines. Builders and rehabbers love it since it is way easier and cheaper than tiling in a jetted tub – which was the rage for 20 (30?) years prior. Do the older folks looking for single-level appreciate that crawling in and out of those things is, well, lets just say not the safest for the lesser agile? Then again, for most, tubs are for show and get no use anyway. I guess adding steps and grab bars would kinda ruin the look. lol.
