Can our “friends from the south” be taken care of? It sure would be nice to be able to speak English on a jobsite.

Neat story and I bookmarked the link to the various “Made in America” sites but if my only choice for new kitchen appliances (Viking, Wolf, and Sub-Zero) are limited to those brands alone, it’s way out of my budget, no matter how beautiful or well made they are. $18+k is more than I want to spend on my whole (small) kitchen redo.

Just bought some new shoes from http://www.allenedmonds.com/
Some of the highest quality dress shoes available and made in the USA.
the word Kanuk was once used as a neutral alternative term to describe a French Canadian, but today, Kanuk is better recognized as a brand name. Their Web site is the first item listed on Google. (Oooo! Boxing Day sale!)
The more commonly used spelling, Canuck, is not only used as a neutral alternative term to describe a Canadian, it’s also the name of Vancouver’s NHL hockey team.
But if you REALLY want to insult a Canadian where it hurts, just call them an American. 😉

A Canadian perspective. My winter coat is made by Kanuk, a Canadian company whose factory and retail outlet are just a five minute walk from my home.
Best winter coat I’ve ever bought.
Isn’t Kanuk a pejorative term in Canada?
