Many years ago, we purchased a home in Carlsbad, using a realtor that was recommended to us - Jim Klinge. Fast forward to 2025, we recently had the privilege of selling 2 homes in Carlsbad, CA and didn't hesitate to reach out to Jim and Donna Klinge of Klinge Realty Group to guide us through the sales. The transactions were very different, each with its own unique situation, opportunities and challenges. From start to finish, Donna and Jim helped navigate the pre-sale preparation, the listing, showing of the house, buyer negotiations, the final close and all of the paperwork and decisions in between. What stands out with both transactions is the professionalism of Jim and Donna (and their team), wonderful communication (timely, relevant, concise), their deep understanding of market dynamics (setting realistic expectations), their access to top-notch contractors, and last, their ability to guide us across the finish line successfully. We wouldn't hesitate to use Jim and Donna in the future and highly recommend them for anyone looking to buy or sell a property in North San Diego County.
Gated communities are not. I had an image of Spongebob yelling “Weeee!!” as you went though that gate.
TV in the bathroom…interesting. Maybe the space above the office can be converted into a play room using the pulpit as the doorway?
Agreed, all that wall paper will need to go…yuk!
Biggest bummer with those is the school district. Big price tag to go to Poway schools, when homes just one tract west are in Del Mar/Solana Beach/San Dieguito.
People complain about long videos, but it takes time to cover the territory. The time to walk down the hall and move from room to room says a lot about how the house flows, and it gives time for the running commentary. The expert commentary is one of the most important features of the videos.
I don’t mind longer videos. The “walking time” between areas you discuss stuff we just saw. If we get bored with the video we can just fast forward.
I like listening to you when you are walking and discussing something that a normal person would had missed.
I like the walking in the hallways or between the rooms b/c it allows for your commentary and more importantly, it helps us to see the house in context and gives us an idea of where things are as if we were walking in the house ourselves. 6-7 mins are ok. 10+ minutes i tend to fast forward through.
I’m with everyone else (especially YAM), this one felt rushed and didn’t give time for your valuable commentary.
Heck, I don’t even mind the ocassional 10 minute video if you’re showing a “big bomber” or doing one of your home improvement videos.
Dogs? OK. Diesels? OK. Screaming little girls? Not OK. Screamers like to hear themselves scream and they like to do it for hours on end and years on end. Of course the parents send them outside to do it though. 😆
Can you tell I have one in my neighborhood? Maybe I need to get a couple of those waterfall fountains. 😀
What you could do for the big Bombers is with your Text overlays say, “Skip to 07:15 for Master Bedroom” or something like that.
Heck it might take a little longer to produce, each room you go to have in the bottom corner the timestamp of the next major room
“Kitchen 2:33” … then when you’re in the Kitchen
“Pool 4:12” etc…
Just an idea.
I can deal with a slightly longer video, too. The halls are part of the house, and it gives a better idea of flow.
The big upstairs bath is very pretty, and I’m not usually a big travertine or fancy patterned tile person.
The upstairs is more than OK, except for the casino-type carpet. The downstairs is borderline unlivable, like some sort of nouveau 1970s nightmare. It must have cost big money to do that kitchen, but it looks like a funeral home break home. Just the pink granite alone (or whatever that is) is crying for demolition. It’s pretty much the worst-looking kitchen I have seen in years.
