Here’s a link to a Shell commercial shown in Europe. Ostensibly, they’re selling gasoline, but the cars used in the video steal the show.
Ferrari pulled several of their race cars from various ages out of storage, flew them around the world, and filmed them running through the streets of Rome , Rio , New York , Hong Kong, Honolulu , and Monaco .
No computer generated graphics — these are the original cars on the original streets. The best part is the sound — from the basso-profundo notes of the early, front-engine era, each scene cuts to a later generation, ending with the wail of a modern F1 car.
Reminds me of the video game Burnout: Revenge.
Pure awesomeness
That is pretty sweet! Since this is a bit off topic post….I have a suggestion/request….
JTR, can you comment on any interesting purchase strategies you have seen thru the years with regard to long term planning. Any interesting Trust ideas, LLC structuring, off-shore entity purchases, William Act calculations (pros/cons)
Just wondering if you have ever said “Boy that structure seems like a good idea”
Thank you Jim, you have made my morning.
Grand Prix is the shiznit.
I’m not even into cars, but this was incredibly awesome…
I just blasted my entire office with this at high volume — every man jack of us got a chubby I believe – though I won’t verify 🙂
I’ve seen this video clip before b/c my brother is heavily into Ferraris and he emailed it to me. It was great to watch it again. Very cool.
