Speaking of break ins, Pine was popped yesterday by U. S. Marshals – http://www.nctimes.com/business/article_856289ec-4587-59ae-ac11-fbe432e54160.html?mode=story
Doesn’t FLA have one of those ‘shoot first, ask questions later’ type laws for house occupants?
They don’t, but everyone performing this stuff are all sub-contractors. “Smart” ones can easily get a stock key made or what have you.
Part over-hysteria, part dumb subcontractors either reporting a house vacant when it isn’t, or because they get paid by volume just flying through and screwing up along the way.
Besides, it’s all in the mortgage contract anyway about “right to inspections” 🙂
Considering how many cases there were of paperwork gone wrong, I’m wondering how long it’s going to be before somebody transposes an address number and sends someone to break into the wrong house and get shot by a frightened homeowner.

Police have already done that one, the result being a dead police officer and a man charged with murder of said police officer.
I think Jim has posted other instances of foreclosures happening to the wrong address.
