We have known Jim & Donna Klinge for over a dozen years, having met them in Carlsbad where our children went to the same school. As long time North County residents, it was a no- brainer for us to have the Klinges be our eyes and ears for San Diego real estate in general and North County in particular. As my military career caused our family to move all over the country and overseas to Asia, Europe and the Pacific, we trusted Jim and Donna to help keep our house in Carlsbad rented with reliable and respectful tenants for over 10 years.
Naturally, when the time came to sell our beloved Carlsbad home to pursue a rural lifestyle in retirement out of California, we could think of no better team to represent us than Jim and Donna. They immediately went to work to update our house built in 2004 to current-day standards and trends — in 2 short months they transformed it into a literal modern-day masterpiece. We trusted their judgement implicitly and followed 100% of their recommended changes. When our house finally came on the market, there was a blizzard of serious interest, we had multiple offers by the third day and it sold in just 5 days after a frenzied bidding war for 20% above our asking price! The investment we made in upgrades recommended by Jim and Donna yielded a 4-fold return, in the process setting a new high water mark for a house sold in our community.
In our view, there are no better real estate professionals in all of San Diego than Jim and Donna Klinge. Buying or selling, you must run and beg Jim and Donna Klinge to represent you! Our family will never forget Jim, Donna, and their whole team at Compass — we are forever grateful to them.
Why demolish if they’re essentially finished?
This reminds me of North of Dallas in the late 80’s there were newly built homes everywhere just left open. Once I was alone, wandering around a Tract-Mansion and realized that it probably wasn’t safe.
There was a particlar house that I liked and would check in on it every once in awhile, once I stopped and went in – it was furnished – obviously lived in, so I had walked right into someone’s home. Really, when I saw those three houses on the video, it was deja vu.
Bressi Greens! My office is less than 2 miles from there and that is on my noontime running loop, its a nice quiet street! The only way to find it is coming west on Poinsettia and making a turn right if you miss the new elementary school or if you somehow come out the bottom of the Davidson homes past their own vacant lots and go down the hill to these vacant lots. Lotsa lots! So they built them on land they didn’t even own and walked.. Smart move!
I forgot about those. Hubby and I found those on one of our drives. There are so many lots that are graded and grown over in weeds. Seems so strange that they don’t finish and sell them? The 2 new communities that just opened at la costa oaks seem to be selling fairly well.
Hovnanian build some nice houses here on the east side of town, but the roads to the site aren’t in good shape, and I’d be surprised if any of the houses has sold. Hovnanian has promised 5K for anyone who helps them sell one of them.
I wonder who is watering and mowing that strip of grass between the curb and sidewalk and the street trees? Whether it’s the City or some Master Association (La Costa Greens?) that’s another waste of money. Since Regent is not weeding their lots, I wonder if city code enforcement is pursuing them to abate their blight.
Those three models cannot be sold, because Regent probably cannot pay the HOA dues needed for the other 68 lots (probably why the are not maintaining the lots) therefore the CA DRE would not issue the public report needed with a failed or underfunded home owners association.
