Many years ago, we purchased a home in Carlsbad, using a realtor that was recommended to us - Jim Klinge. Fast forward to 2025, we recently had the privilege of selling 2 homes in Carlsbad, CA and didn't hesitate to reach out to Jim and Donna Klinge of Klinge Realty Group to guide us through the sales. The transactions were very different, each with its own unique situation, opportunities and challenges. They supplied a list of vendors and job quotes to do the repairs and updates. We originally wanted to sell ‘as is’ and just get it over with. The water stains at the front door and along the window of the front room look suspect. Could they be the result of water seeping into the house because of poor soil drainage known in that area?

But it hasn’t gone fast. It’s been on the market more than two months, although it recently had a tiny price reduction ($988–>$975).
It does seem peaceful and its wonderfully funky, but for the money, it seems like it is missing some modern touches that might give pause.
Maybe high-800s to generate interest and multiple bids?
