We have known Jim & Donna Klinge for over a dozen years, having met them in Carlsbad where our children went to the same school. As long time North County residents, it was a no- brainer for us to have the Klinges be our eyes and ears for San Diego real estate in general and North County in particular. As my military career caused our family to move all over the country and overseas to Asia, Europe and the Pacific, we trusted Jim and Donna to help keep our house in Carlsbad rented with reliable and respectful tenants for over 10 years.
Naturally, when the time came to sell our beloved Carlsbad home to pursue a rural lifestyle in retirement out of California, we could think of no better team to represent us than Jim and Donna. They immediately went to work to update our house built in 2004 to current-day standards and trends — in 2 short months they transformed it into a literal modern-day masterpiece. We trusted their judgement implicitly and followed 100% of their recommended changes. When our house finally came on the market, there was a blizzard of serious interest, we had multiple offers by the third day and it sold in just 5 days after a frenzied bidding war for 20% above our asking price! The investment we made in upgrades recommended by Jim and Donna yielded a 4-fold return, in the process setting a new high water mark for a house sold in our community.
In our view, there are no better real estate professionals in all of San Diego than Jim and Donna Klinge. Buying or selling, you must run and beg Jim and Donna Klinge to represent you! Our family will never forget Jim, Donna, and their whole team at Compass — we are forever grateful to them.
Cool idea!
I love that the next door neighbor was the president of the HOA! And a lawsuit right next door…over a deck (which looks fine to me). File that one under “rich, white people problems.”
I also loved the you’re safe…”only one or two crash per year.” ha. And boy does that comp across the street hurt.
I’m thinking $725,000-$750,000.
Also, you really should check out the “second coming” (as you say) of Nantucket Estates! They’ve sold two…I saw them on my usual bike rides around the neighborhood when I”m home.
One is already occupied….the one story built on the old slab!
JTR – We have friends all around that circle, mainly on the other side who have that model. Its a great floorplan and lives/entertains very well.
That house is worth $800k all day long at $200/sf with the extra large yard with no neighbor above and open view. The view/yard is a big premium over the comp which is an enclosed/surrounded back yard backing to other homes…and the floorplan is inferior to this model.
If I was still living in Bressi, we’d be on top of that one.
As for the airplanes, to live in bressi you either have to ignore it, or just forget about the neighborhood. They are supposed to track around the east side of the neighborhood towards Melrose/PAR then bank into the flight pattern. Seems those guys are cutting the corner a bit tight.
Bressi was a great neighborhood if you have young kids and like a “social” atmosphere…
That’s a very pretty house. It doesn’t seem to have a lot of pointless spaces and I think the finishes are reasonably neutral and classic. However, what’s the deal with that upstairs carpet? The pattern and color are very intrusive–it would only match exactly the right bedding.
Never sell or move next door to a lawyer.
