We have known Jim & Donna Klinge for over a dozen years, having met them in Carlsbad where our children went to the same school. As long time North County residents, it was a no- brainer for us to have the Klinges be our eyes and ears for San Diego real estate in general and North County in particular. As my military career caused our family to move all over the country and overseas to Asia, Europe and the Pacific, we trusted Jim and Donna to help keep our house in Carlsbad rented with reliable and respectful tenants for over 10 years.
Naturally, when the time came to sell our beloved Carlsbad home to pursue a rural lifestyle in retirement out of California, we could think of no better team to represent us than Jim and Donna. They immediately went to work to update our house built in 2004 to current-day standards and trends — in 2 short months they transformed it into a literal modern-day masterpiece. We trusted their judgement implicitly and followed 100% of their recommended changes. When our house finally came on the market, there was a blizzard of serious interest, we had multiple offers by the third day and it sold in just 5 days after a frenzied bidding war for 20% above our asking price! The investment we made in upgrades recommended by Jim and Donna yielded a 4-fold return, in the process setting a new high water mark for a house sold in our community.
In our view, there are no better real estate professionals in all of San Diego than Jim and Donna Klinge. Buying or selling, you must run and beg Jim and Donna Klinge to represent you! Our family will never forget Jim, Donna, and their whole team at Compass — we are forever grateful to them.

“Yesterday, the Voice wrote about a protest happening today at Brooklyn Supreme Court. Led by Occupy Wall Street and the group Organizing for Occupation.

Who lives there? Who works there? If renters, do they know they soon could be evicted?
We decided to find out. In no case did the current tenants know of Organizing for Occupation, nor that Occupy Wall Street had any interest in the fate of their building.”

So they decided to “protest” the foreclosure of commercial property without the owners or tenants of the buildings having contacted them? Facepalm.
There does appear to be remarkable tone deafness from the Government and other vested interests these days (Wall Street…etc.) so it seems people don’t know how to get their voices heard, short of demonstrations.
It hasn’t reached the point of civil disobedience yet but that may be a future risk. There does appear to be a level of disenfranchisement not felt for a long time in this country.
I’m 100% in favor of dissent. Love it. When pissed of young people hit the streets and start burning stuff, something good usually results.
Wall Street trading houses don’t give a rat’s behind about “demonstrations.” Regulation is what makes them howl. The “demonstrators” don’t even know the right questions, so getting an answer that is relevant is impossible.
America’s attention span is fragmented like never before in the history of this country, and instead of Joe DiMaggio, we hero worship the billionaire high-functioning Aspergers patients who provide us with the tools for our own ruin.
If I were a bond trader for Goldman Sachs, I’d be laughing my ass off right now: “Yeah, Facebook your way to democracy till the new “Call of Duty” game arrives. You’ll disappear for the next four months, you aimless middle-class shlubs!”
Apparently America doesn’t have talent.
