The greatest rock’n’roll band in the world was in town this week, and played two shows at SoFi Stadium. Their entire show was uploaded today at this LINK.
But they seem like prancing 80-year-olds to me. This is better, thanks to Fergie – recorded at Madison Square Garden, October 30th 2009 at the 25th Anniversary of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concert:
At the LINK provided, they play Gimme Shelter right at the 2-hour mark. If you saw the Stones in the 70s or 80s, you probably shouldn’t watch.
Wow!
They really need to practice their lip-synching! LOL!
That was bad!
The Eagles were damn fine at the Forum last Friday. They played, for real, the entire Hotel California album for the first half. After a short break they played “all the rest of the songs they knew.” Joe Walsh was every bit as batsh¡t crazy as ever. He even said he liked his twenties in the seventies better than his seventies in these twenties. He kinda screeched his lyrics but we all knew the words. Bringing in new blood was a godsend.
Tonight Willie Nelson at the Santa Barbara Bowl and early tomorrow off to Chicago. Two museums per day and a one day car rental to the hinterlands and a biking tour of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Oak Park. A week isn’t near enough even without our usual random secret travel finds.
Did I mention?
