A 350 in that old lady?
He should call her, “Ol’ Fireball.”
I got the 350 in mine too. It was in the first Camaro in 1967, and was the standard for the Corvette for a long time too:

I know the 350 vette very well. Shifting from 1st to 2nd gear while steppin’ on it was like exiting a sling shot. Front end would get slightly squirrelly. I can’t imagine that engine in that truck! Hope you upgraded the suspension, otherwise god be with you!
