The graduation season is upon us, and while not a holiday of any sort, for those who have a graduate it is a busy time, with loads of distractions!
Parents of eighth-graders, high-school seniors, and those graduating from college tend to be out of the real estate game for a week or two. It won’t stop a hot buy from selling, but generally there are fewer participants on the prowl.
You can see the effect in the 2014 stats. Here are the number of listings marked pending each month that eventually closed escrow:
March: 252
April: 287
May: 294
June: 239
July: 265
August: 231
Sept: 212
Our graduation season wrapped up yesterday, and Natalie is looking forward to a restful summer before heading to Westwood next fall!
Congratulations!

Mahalo, JtR, for ^ pointing this out. Wow, did I need to hear this!
Congratulations to Natalie! *Grin* Will you be repainting the old truck blue and yellow in support now? At least she won’t have the “banana slug” as a school mascot like my daughter (2008-2012). 🙂
Our recent UCLA grad is getting married in August. Good to see the basketball hall refurbished.
