Quick question for any of you builders.
What is the benefit of laying down tile at 45 degrees? Is it mainly just aesthetics? seems like a lot more work to do it that way. I’ve got some tile to lay down in the kitchen and tryn to figure out a pattern. one guy I talked to just said lay it in a square pattern but alternate the rows so one tile lands in the middle of the previous row.
The diagonal pattern takes a little more tile because of the cuts, and in the past it was the trendy alternative.
It adds a more upscale look, and if you do it within a border it looks even better.
