We contacted them on a Sunday and they were talking to us about our family and our needs on our living room couch the following day. There are going to be some nasty surprises when opening updated property tax bills. Prop 13’s 2% cap in valuation increase doesn’t apply to the reduced assessments many have been enjoying. This hasn’t been discussed much, but big jumps in prop tax bills are imminent for many.
