"Where do we begin..2020 has been a year for everyone. When COVID hit and shut down both my husband and my businesses, we were left with a mortgage and very little income coming in. We were stressed, scared and felt stuck. We made the hard decision to sell our home and move out of state. We contacted the Klinges' and spent a good hour going over what we hoped we could accomplish. Jim and Donna came over with comps in hand and suggestions on improvements to get our house ready for the market. It was overwhelming to think about, but Donna was there and one step ahead in every scenario. more "

"Jim and Donna Klinge made the sale of our condo extraordinarily easy. They know the market and gave us sound advice backed by details and very considerable experience, reflected both in the initial pricing and subsequent negotiations. "I cannot believe there are no reviews of Donna yet, ugh!! She is the secret sauce of the Jim Klinge/Donna Klinge combo! I will touch on Jim here, but Donna is why I'm so totally loyal to these two (no offense to Jim :)).

"Jim and Donna Klinge are by far the most professional, personable and responsive realtors I have ever worked with. They provide VIP concierge level service in every area of the process of selling your home. My home was marketed so successfully that we received an offer the day after our first and only open house. Thanks to Jim's pricing and negotiating, our house is now the highest sold in our community... more "

Damn nice buy. Big comfy house. My wife would love that pool. Heck so would I.
Looks like they had a lawn all the way around the pool? More hardscape seems to be in order. I’m on 3 acres in Lakeside, similar deal with wildland around. 4000sf lawn. Gophers and rabbits are loving it. Sucks a lot of water too. But, lovely to look at.
Is two story better or worse for A/C and heat?
I would add commute costs to the “monthly housing expense”. And this isnt just for work commuting. How about driving to play dates if you have kids? Same for grocery and doc trips etc.
I would prefer a house in VC area…but you have to calculate all the extra driving- and calculate it at $5 a gallon to be safe.
Awesome values up in VC! Great for a home office situation. Only complication is that lots of people that telecommute or have a (serious) home business also have to fly, so airport shuttle has to be your friend.
Buck fifteen a foot all in is probably right around a 25% to 30% discount to replacement cost. Nice buy.
Lived in VC for 18 years when we had kids, with no regrets other than a bit warm in the summer. Pretty well run school district and good community, but not well suited for the person who wants to jump in their car 3 times a day to go shopping. Lots of people stay very long term if they move there for the right lifestyle reasons.
What are the schools like for that home?

If you are in VC check out the Keys Creek Lavender Farm. Went there last weekend and it’s one of the most relaxing places in SD County.
Great video as always Mr. Klinge!
