Hazy shade of winter today in San Diego.
Home from the International Builders Show. Here are my three takeaways: 1. The new home cancellation rate has largely normalized; 2. Sales in January crushed expectations; 3. Builders had cautious optimism with many mentions of a head fake

Jim, this one disappeared from YouTube.
Stand by, it’s reloading.
Thanks, I was jonesin’ for a fix! 😉
Nice setting.
But a million? And then you have to drop, what, 150K+ to blow out the kitchen, bathrooms, floors and get that backyard in shape? And then the stucco and roof issues.
So that’s really around $1.3 for the house. Pass. I’ll be in Encinitas/Leucadia for that money and I’ll be in a great school district with a better home.
tj,
It’s been a little sparse here on videos lately, but hang in there – more are coming.
I’m following a couple of stories (Daffodil and Glaucus) from start to finish, and this is the lag time while they develop. I think this is what people really want to see – what happens when a hot listing appears.
I also have the new CV REO #5 coming on Heather Ridge, after following it for 2+ years.
I also have a tour of a new Del Sur model home in the can too.
A bit off topic….Do you have a recommendation on a moisture meter? Thanks.
Every realtor should have one of those moisture gadgets!
Jim, 7722 Palenque 92009 would make an interesting video on when to pass on a home with water damage. There are mysterious soggy spots in the yard and a sump pump pit in the front yard.
Daffodil went pedning in under 7 days … Any guess on final price?
