We’re probably too far down the ‘extend-and-pretend’ road for protests to cause a change in course – but it’s good to see citizens expressing their rights, at least for 55 seconds:

Do you think the paperwork debacle at MERS has damaged the security interests?
The police should have arrested David Lowman. The financial sector has and is getting away with HIGH highway robbery. No one is stopping them.
The only way you stop criminals is by stopping them.
Do you think the paperwork debacle at MERS has damaged the security interests?
Yes, and and it’ll be a long fight, between:
The millions of people who could get a free house, vs. The collapse of the banking system.
This government is all about making deals.
They let Angelo walk practically scot-free, and look at the end of this video where Dodd dismisses the protestors, and gets right back to Chase’s kiss-butt. The government-banking cartel is going to decide where this goes, unless the Supreme Court, or a revolt, gets in their way.
For those who can stand a lot of cussing, google George Carlin, The American Dream
I don’t know if the Tan Man will get off. I do find it interesting the OneWest Bank clan is making a pretty good profit off the junk they created while at Indymac Bank.
Right on, Jim.
Isn’t it incredible that the voters of CON have returned Dodd?
Conn voters did not return Dodd. He has retired, but they may have chosen someone worse, Richard Blumenthal.
This guy should have been screaming about asking homeowners if they made all their payments as promised.
Didn’t taxpayers melt gov servers when TARP was forced down out throats?
That seemed to help.

Just another staged dog ‘n’ pony show (like the hearings on the banking and auto industry bailouts) where the politicians wag their fingers at the CEOs so we can be outraged.
Afterwards, the politicians (both dems and repubs) and corporations have a good laugh at our expense before they turn out the lights because THEY’RE ALL IN BED TOGETHER.
Politicians (both dems and repubs), CEOs/corporations, unions, wall street, lobbyists, judges, media, think tanks and the uber wealthy (what else am missing?) run the USA, we average citizens are just along for the ride.
If people start getting free houses out of this (barring that one a couple of years ago on the East Coast), then the entire system will come crashing down like a house of cards.
The current Supreme Court has ruled the corporations have the rights of people. No way no how they are ever coming down on the side of consumers. There are The People, and then there are the people that matter, the ones who can pay their wives big bucks to work at a “non-profit”.
>the entire system will come crashing down like a house of cards.
That will happen anyway. The banks are still zombies. And some of them, like BoA, have exposure in China, and exposure to large parties not happy about eating their previous round of fraudulent paperwork.
What’s amazing about Dodd, Frank, etc, is how watered down the Republicans have made even the weak legislation they introduced. They haven’t been exactly stunning about necessary brutal fixes, but they sure as heck are better than the rest of their cadre. Don’t like Dodd, you are really going to love having Rand Paul introducing banking legislation.
It’s NEVER TOO LATE to have protests and strikes…this is the ONLY way to bring these fkers to their knees.
Learn from the French…at least in this particular approach…they bring their country to their knees when they band together. It’s more of a democracy than this country is that’s for sure.
Why will people protest when they are freeloading right now? Some of them haven’t paid their mortgage in over 2 years!!!
