If you’ve been looking west of the I-5 in 92014 and hoping for a deal, you might be in for a long wait. There have been few offerings, and the sales sure seem retail-ish. Here’s the latest:

Semi-interesting locations but junky housing stock
None of those are even on the good side of the hill. Yikes. I personally find DM too boring, a conclusion I reached almost immediately after extending my lease for another year. Probably a great place if you have kids or like things really really quiet. Is there an SD equivalent of Hermosa Beach?
Loved the commentary about the massive decks. 800-1,000 sqft of dead space… no doubt listed as a perk.
OT – I am seeing a trend developing in my top secret ‘black box’ geography at the TS: tons of Cancelled sales and no 3rd parties and fewer postponements.
Monday: 9 cancelled; 1 back to bank; 0 3rd party
Tuesday: 5 cancelled: 0 back to bank; 0 3rd party
Anomoly, or trend???
ps: it had been lots of postponements, a few back to bank and very few cancelled (always very few 3rd party sales)
I noticed on Foreclosure Radar as well a definite decrease in activity over the last 7 days. Did some new draconian extend the free rent program to infinity law pass that I didn’t see?
We saw that Longboat house back in October. The multi-levels were funky, but the “master” killed it for us. We could have lived with it if there was a decent ocean view. The houses across the street have ocean view, but that one didn’t.
That is a very strange house. Calling it a split level isn’t beginning to describe the weirdness of it. I wonder how much work the new owners are doing (there was clearly construction activity in the street portion of the video).
Hey, I shot the photos for that first house… Nice place.
