This is one of my favorite realtor videos of all-time, presented without fluff or hyperbole, and you get a good sense of the property inside and out.
It is currently off-market, but it was listed for $18,888,888.
If I would have hit the Powerball this week, I’d be calling Shannon!
How long till the Pacific claims those too-close bluffs?
No hyperbole? “Most spectacular oceanfront home to come along in years”.
Not even most spectacular oceanfront on market
Thanks Bob. What’s the name of your blog?
Two lane bowling alley, classic arcade! SOLD! And those views! Very stunning property!
I may disagree with you, but I am not against you.

Ok, thanks. But relatively-speaking, her presentation was as normal as they get for a realtor video.
Which oceanfront property do you like better? I’m not paying that kind of money to be on the sand in Del Mar, and wake up with a hobo sleeping on my deck (true story I heard from a beachfront owner who got in a fight there with hobo)
This one is more walkable but harder to get in and out of town – and it costs more:

La Jolla Farms? Same problem with beach access, plus has paragliders flying over (but love the house):

(and the Razor)
Bird Rock is too buried and all the surrounding homes are so much less:

You can dip your toes in the sand here but the USA has a $25M lien against it so don’t think he’s coming down much on the price:

As someone who has remodeled and flipped several oceanfront homes in SD over the years, I take it personally when realtors say “no expense spared”. I’ve used tile that is $200/sf and see Porcelanossa described in “no expense spared” listings. Or gaggeneau appliances, grohe fixtures, etc. it does a deservice to the profession.
And yes, I’d take several of the homes in the sand in Del Mar over that LJ home (with associated traffic, crowds, etc) any day. It’s why the income chart you just posted has DM way out in front. Those who know pick DM. Out of towners and those who don’t pick LJ.
And I’m on that beach almost daily. While I don’t dispute the homeless situation you describe, I have personally never seen that -day or night. And in comparison to any other beach in SD, there is no comparison.

We agree on that!
Did you like my photo from Craig’s house in today’s blog post??
Saw that and yes I did. It’s a great place. One of my favorite streets in the world.
