Never have I been so architecturally insulted as I am at this very moment!
Btw, this reminded me of some McMansion atrocities built in the nineties at Lake Arrowhead. An area I used to hike around as a kid, was bulldozed to create these things. Now a gated area called “cedar ridge.” Find example below. Of particular note, the showcase ceiling morphing into… drywall. It prompts the viewer to exclaim, “what an amazing ceiling, and oh… looks like you ran out of money, there.” Overall, the “prebuilt elsewhere via committee” motif, one might find to be is architecturally rude:

I like the Ceder Ridge property, and the fact that it’s a gated area makes it even more appealing. 😉 However I’d never spend 1million+ on a vacation home. I’d rather just rent at 10k a pop.
“To me, I don’t care if it’s costly, or cheap. It’s the congruency of the house plan. If it looks like it was designed by committee, I’m not a huge fan,” said Daytrip about a vacation house he can’t readily afford.
