Jim, I’ve been looking at prices in Boulder, CO. Although not a major city, the $450-$500sf is eye-popping to me…
It’s all about zoning and building new homes.
The push will be inland for affordability.
Yes and buyers will be comparing newer homes in Ramona or Fallbrook for the same price as 1,500sf new condos in town:

Susie, Boulder is Colorado’s version of Santa Monica, except that it’s snugged against the mountains instead of the ocean. Unlike SM, though, you can go about 15 minutes in any direction and prices drop significantly.
