La Costa Resort REO
CR scooped me on this video, so you may have seen it there over the weekend.
I was waiting for the sale to close, which it did….for $117,300 OVER list price!

What’s CR?
I like the La Costa resort….although it does have a way to go. It’s a nice place, but you’re right….it’s not the same as some of the big names: La Jolla Beach & Tennis, La Jolla CC, DMCC, The Bridges….which I don’t like.
The essentially tract homes are so close together and not that great….why not buy something outside of the gates? Can get more land, etc.
It’s just pretentious….especially that entry. Beautiful property though….but you’re not in the Covenant!
La Shawn from Brooklyn | April 19th, 2011 at 5:24 pmExpected a sleestack to come walking out of the cave portion. Expected jersey shore cast to appear in the marble bathroom.
Casino II could be filmed there.
CR is calculated risk
LM | April 19th, 2011 at 5:53 pmSuit and tie in Socal! And pink tie at that! Interviewing at Goldman Sachs?
Mrs. Davis | April 19th, 2011 at 6:06 pmAnd no comment about the bidet being 20′ from the toilet. Nice planning.
Mrs. Davis | April 19th, 2011 at 6:07 pmYour mirror avoidance-fu was clearly no match for this house
.
I found the fully glassed-in computer room/decontamination cell/reactor core a little odd. But the place did have a sort of mid-century kind of appeal to it.
ewhac | April 19th, 2011 at 7:23 pm*Chuckle* You have a new fan, Jim. My cat’s watching this video with me. Every time, the dead smoke alarms chirp, her ears perk up…
Susie | April 19th, 2011 at 9:22 pmI just remembered where I saw that funky room! I actually stayed in it for a few hours! The Yotel at Heathrow Airport!

It might seem like a silly hotel, but it’s a great way to break the jet lag a bit after you’ve arrived from an overseas flight.
