That’s more than I ever wanted to know about open house sign placement
What percentage of your open house traffic do you think is from people just driving by and seeing the signs?
osidebuyer | July 12th, 2010 at 11:59 amI suggest next time you throw all your competitors signs down that hill so the bums can build a nice home out of them.
Jesus | July 12th, 2010 at 3:00 pmPerhaps we’re too obsessed with housing, but we’re MORE inclined to check out an open house when we see multiple signs on a corner — we aren’t “drawn away” and we don’t see it as competition. We think of it as the most efficient use of our open-house-hunting time and go to where the most action is, so we look for the greatest concentration of signs and visit every single one of them.
One reason the realtors might have their phone number on the sign is so nobody can steal them…or if they are lost/stolen, someone can find the true owner and return the sign.
CA renter | July 13th, 2010 at 12:20 amIn response to O’sidebuyer’s question, we always find open houses by driving around our target areas and looking for signs. Sometimes, it’s the only way to know about a listing as they are not always listed on the MLS (unfortunately).
