p.s.: What *is* that little “flippy” noise that new camera makes?!?

NICE video. I haven’t spend time down there since college… I know those streets very, very well.
$100k for on the beach is insane. I think my folks paid $120 for a house in Carlsbad in 1984… a mile from the beach.

6k in 1984 is alot beer money at 25 years old Jim, or about 6 blocks from this condo was “Diego’s”. $1.00 margarita Mondays and MNF with the Charger girls and players, Dandy Don Meredith and Howard Kosell blasting over the speaker system.
I partied down one night with a High School friend of mine who managed 91x at the time with “Little Train” James and Vincy Glenn. I was the marketing guy for bolle sunglasses then and got those 2 and the Chargers girls all decked out in neon yellow framed bolles with mirrored blue lenses.
Remember everyone wearing neon pink, yellow, green and roange stuff on the beaches and in public view in the mid/late eighties!

Don’t forget the 50/50 split with the broker, and taxes, but yes, it was a lot of Diego Dollars!
Nice vid and story Jim. I also would like to know what that condo is worth today.
Please be careful taking vids and driving on crowded streets at the same time.

Jim, thanks. I also loved the comments about Diego’s. Lived in PB from 1979 to 1987. We had enough money to buy, but not in PB. Plus, I was pregnant. Bought out here in La Mesa, and now — I’ll never move! PB is NOT for middle-aged people and/or parents of young kids. I feel sorry for the few elderly people still in PB, although they prolly have a mountain of equity.

Looks like a 1 bd room condos in the complex or the ones next to it (ocean side) are listed for $350-450,000.
Great story! Keep it coming…
