Now that’s the kind of house I like!
shadash | June 26th, 2009 at 9:44 amHow in the world do you maintain and clean a house that big?
greenlander | June 26th, 2009 at 9:55 amBeautiful architecture and finish work! What’s the
Susie | June 26th, 2009 at 10:43 amlisting price, Jim?
LP = $7M
GameAgent | June 26th, 2009 at 11:10 amI’M IN LOVE!!! Now if I can just scratch up a few more zillion pennies…
tj and the bear | June 26th, 2009 at 11:14 amOh my God, I agree with Shadash. Is this a sign of the apocalypse?
Definitely one of the most handsome, well designed homes that I’ve seen in a long time.
Thanks Kwaping and JtR for presenting this home.
Mozart | June 26th, 2009 at 12:00 pmNo problem! I sure wish I could afford it. Maybe we could pool our money and buy it collectively? Would make a great timeshare party home!
Jim, how many readers do you have? That might actually work!
Kwaping | June 26th, 2009 at 12:14 pmI am going to check to see if I can get a stated income loan and put in an offer.I am mowing lawns and bringing down 200k / year.
arizonadude | June 26th, 2009 at 12:23 pmBEAUTIFUL HOME–Outside is an absolute 10–great mix of warm and cold modern. I loved most of the interior as well, except the kitchen (glass countertops???)and the triangular lines of the open-beam ceilings/staircase–Interior gets a solid 9.
Local Boy | June 26th, 2009 at 12:51 pmI have purchased this house for the full listing price using an option ARM. My payments are only $500 a month!
Seriously, what a great house. I love modern houses, and out here in the East we have a real shortage. Colonials and Cape Cods and the occasional Vicotrian, yes, but contemporary, not so much.
Former RB Resident | June 26th, 2009 at 2:05 pmLove this one in Solana http://www.sdlookup.com/Pictures-090016159
4s Renter | June 26th, 2009 at 2:13 pmI like this house. It wouldn’t work for my wife because of all the level changes and steps, but otherwise this is the sort of place we’d be looking at if cost were no object.
We’ve had Seabright Lane bookmarked ever since it was first listed…in case our ship suddenly comes in.
GeneK | June 26th, 2009 at 3:29 pmNow **that’s** what a million-dollar house is supposed to look like!
Seriously, the notion that tract homes on small lots are “million-dollar” homes is one of the most peculiar things about the bubble. Million-dollar+ homes have almost always been nice, custom homes on decent lots with no HOAs/Mello-Roos — even here in sunny, coastal California.
CA renter | June 26th, 2009 at 4:24 pmWe’re playing MegaMillions tonight, just in case!
tj and the bear | June 26th, 2009 at 6:39 pmI think the RSF one is really nice – I love LOOKING at these modern houses but I’m not sure I’d want to live in it. Needs a good “ass-factor” couch to flop/pass out on.. I just can’t see having the crew over to watch the Super Bowl..
That Seabright Lane one though.. WOW! Me likey.
Big E | June 26th, 2009 at 7:07 pmFive or six months ago my wife and I followed open house signs in Carmel Valley out of our league into Rancho Santa Fe and to this house. It was listed at $10 million.
It’s a beauty. VERY high quality construction and great flow. My wife agreed it was beautiful, but she thought maybe it didn’t quite feel like “home.”
