Looks like a nice ride.Have they gone high tech?Did the driver have any teeth?
arizonadude | March 26th, 2009 at 7:12 amLOL! What is it about SD that you see those so often? I don’t know if I’ve ever seen one around Burbank.
p.s.: Your passenger has a cute giggle.
tj and the bear | March 26th, 2009 at 7:30 amThis reminds me of where I grew up, which, ironically, is Burbank. I’m not sure what part of Burbank you grew up in tj.
The video gives me a good chuckle, since this is something my friends and I would have done/said when we were in our teens.
ChrisL | March 26th, 2009 at 7:54 amChrisL,
Grew up in Colorado, but have lived the last 20 years in the Hollywood Hills above Burbank.
Definitely had ice cream trucks in Denver.
tj and the bear | March 26th, 2009 at 8:17 amForeclosure ahead! ROFL! Comedic gold, Jim.
Paul | March 26th, 2009 at 8:21 amI think you should buy yourself one of those Ice Creme trucks to take your clients out in. That would be a classic.
Bar Leucadian | March 26th, 2009 at 9:08 amWoohoo!!! Ice cream for everyone!
greenlander | March 26th, 2009 at 9:11 amCarmel Valley is about to suffer it’s greatest equity loss yet – over the next 24 months. I will gladly stay west of 5 Encinitas where I am not surrounded by 1200 homes exactly like mine.
Todd | March 26th, 2009 at 9:51 amOh Jim, you really bring the LOL’s. Thank you!
BAM | March 26th, 2009 at 10:33 amtj, what part of Colorado? I was born and raised in Arvada. Prices back home have cratered, almost makes me consider moving back.
Genius | March 26th, 2009 at 12:25 pmI was Arvada and Wheatridge growing up 1962-68. Off Wadsworth/close to I-70. My Dad lives up in Genesee now. I think my wife and I will be there sooner or later after my son gets out of HS.
CO RE barely budged up in the bubble and is falling like the rest. Great lifestyle and value there right now.
doughboy | March 26th, 2009 at 2:19 pmGenesee is beautiful. If it weren’t for surfing and the industry I work in (it doesn’t really exist in Denver) I would have bought a house there by now. I guess there’s a blizzard there right now; I don’t miss that other than when I was on the slopes.
Genius | March 26th, 2009 at 3:01 pmI got snowed in at my Dads condo in Genesee (its right by the upper Pool area/tennis) 4 years ago starting on St Patty’s day and I kid you not it snowed 60 inches in 2 days non stop. Had to wedge a sliding door open and tunnel out to find a woodpile as we lost power for 36 hours. Unreal.
70 degrees 2 day ago in Denver and 18 inches of snow today! My Dads condo stares across the Valley at 14k ft Mt. Evans, if I’m lucky I can enjoy that view for a couple decades sometime down the road!
doughboy | March 26th, 2009 at 7:09 pmHeehehe Jim, the Grim Reaper has finally shown up in Carmel Valley. And not to skew off topic Denver is a damn fine city. The buddy pass was such a sweet deal giving you 4 mountains and 5 tickets to Vail for $250 back in the day.
mybleachhouse | March 26th, 2009 at 7:45 pmYES! There has been no ice cream trucks in Encinitas the past 2 wks – the worst is over in my ‘hood.
3clicks from da Beach | March 27th, 2009 at 6:49 pmIn what part of CV was that? That is really disturbing.
