More from Robot Realty
I emailed an agent today regarding an REO property just listed, wondering how many offers were in – here was the response:
“All of our properties will sell at or above listing price and will eventually receieve multiple offers. Please bring a strong offer. Thank you.”

Robot:
“We know everthing–you can’t know anything. Just send us money–MAYbe we’ll let you buy.”
You’d think this was a seller’s market…

Translation: We are having a bidding war, and we need your bid to inflate our final price. Please give us lots of money. Sucker.

Chuck Ponzi | October 30th, 2008 at 11:47 pmYeah, we just went through this. Basically, we came with our best and FAIR price offer. Didn’t get the REO. Didn’t hear why, but we figure…oh well, some other sucker can stay in escrow at an over inflated price.
Shoppingaround – sometimes I wonder “what kind of market are we in, again?” Could have fooled me. We’ve been looking for months and are currently waiting to hear on our 6th offer. Not to mention, each offer has had at least 4 counters. It’s CRAZY!

Well, Jim’s commentary seems to confirm your situation: in the REO market–it’s hot again!
Good luck to you. We’re waiting for now.
