More Jenae Effects in LCV
We’ve highlighted this Jenae fiasco in La Costa Valley. The latest was that 14 people were coming and going at all hours while the owner tried every trick in the book to keep it afloat, even though the trustee sale was upon her.
Today it popped up on the MLS as a new listing for $799,000.
Why does she keep holding on??
Neighbors left these comments after the last post:
We live on this street and while I laughed hysterically while seeing the picture of the car because last week, it eventually did get towed, the reality is that these grifters/squatters may be here 6 more months. It’s lots worse than the description. You didn’t mention the dogs constantly barking, the various cars coming in and out at all hours of the day and night and the various men going in and out to do God knows what, the overgrown dying grass and the sleeping bags that they air out over the balcony every day! They also shower at the pool at the ClubHouse in order to save the water bill. That’s great for La Costa Valley, isn’t it?! These people have scared all of us so much that we don’t allow our kids to play outside anymore without a parent being right there to watch. No one knows if they are child molesters, murderers or anything It’s very sad and Jan and Janae need to be put in jail for a very long time!
What you really need is a picture of the “Chester the Molester” van that’s usually parked out in front of 2872 Vista Acedera on the weekends. None of the windows roll up, it’s rusted out and the seats are torn to bits. It’s probably one of Jan’s boyfriends. Very scary!
Hi Jim – you are a hero for posting this. But there is soooo much more as I’m sure you know. Today Jan Terry was to face Bankruptcy court to try to get an extension, but her Trustee told me the bank wants to proceed with taking the house back. Let’s hope that happens real soon.
Hopefully the trustee sale will prevail soon!

Jim,
You’ve covered Jenae’s fraud numerous times, and many people wonder why she’s not in jail.
But seriously, WHY IS SHE NOT IN JAIL? Does nobody press charges? CAN someone press charges? It’s not just the money she’s stealing, but the effects it has on neighborhoods. It’s sad this situation goes on in a neighborhood like LCV.
The Blur | September 27th, 2008 at 3:59 pmIt takes time to build a case. In the meantime, a fraud ring can go through dozens of mortgages:

These cases can be complex and they want to get it right. If the government backed the DA and law enforcement more, I’m sure you’d see more results. Recent indications are that there’s lots of investigations in progress that haven’t yet become public.

Oh yeah, “karma works”
ice weasel | September 27th, 2008 at 6:00 pmThey need to throw the book at her to make an example of her to up and coming next generation real estate fraudsters. The damage she has done has gone far beyond loan fraud, she has devalued entire communities and turned demographics on its head. In fact I hope the FBI investigation into Freddie and Fannie Mushrooms into an army of forensic accountants combing over every loan funded in the last five years. I want to see arrests of everyone in the chain from borrowers who lied on loan apps all the way to the CEOs on mass scale.

I hate to point it out, but they are probably WORKING. Poor working slobs, going to a manufacturing place at 5 am, or to clean rooms at the resort. They are most likely paying the foreclosure scam artist whatever rent they can afford on that house, which is why they have to gang up en masse to pool their measly wages. I know, no regular working people should ever be allowed in a place like LC Valley, but that doesn’t mean they are criminals, unless you can prove them to be so.
Simone | September 28th, 2008 at 8:06 amSorry…only two of them could possibly be working at a legitimate job (if in fact they even are). The women who look like they have had a few too many hits of heroin are there all day and night sitting on the front porch on the cell phone…the older woman roams around the neighborhood chasing her dogs in her bathrobe with nothing on underneath. No residents, including we pampered soles in LCV, should have to see such a site. The 20-something man (most likely a relative of Jan Terry’s) has no job but yet drives a beautiful Mercedes. When one neighbor asked him to mow his grass so it didn’t look so bad, he commented back sarcastically, “Why don’t you come here and mow my grass”. Yea, they sure seem like very respectable hard working individuals to me! By the way, all of the families in the LCV neighborhood I’m in (with the exception of 2872) have jobs and in fact work very hard.
Disgusted in LCV | September 28th, 2008 at 10:28 pmHey Simone, are you disrespectin’ those of us in LCV? We are hard working folks who pay good money to live in a safe neighborhood that is free of junk cars, dogs barking and drug addicts roaming the streets. Sounds like the house on this street is a crack house or possibly a boarding house for the homeless. The residents here didn’t ask for that.
Disrespected in LCV | September 29th, 2008 at 9:18 pmYesterday, we drove past 2872 Vista Acedera and there was a moving truck moving yet another family in. The interesting thing is that all of us in the neighborhood have been told that the Association has liens on the property since they haven’t paid any association fees since they’ve owned the home. But next to the moving truck was a Dish Network van and a Time Warner truck to install internet and Cable. Gee, my family works hard, pays to live here and we can’t afford those types of luxuries. What in the world are these people in 2872 doing to be able to live in this house without paying a penny AND having the nerve to install TW internet and a satellite. How long can these people live there for free? No one in the neighborhood understands…can someone enlighten us how they are able to do this – we’d all like to join in on their great way of living for free!
ViaArceFamily | March 1st, 2009 at 7:28 amWhat is it that makes LCV so bulletproof? It’s been virtually immune to the real estate meltdown. At any time in the past few years, it seems there’s usually less than 1% of the 1,073 houses in the community for sale, and they’re not coming down on their bubble inflated prices. Where do these people work that they’re not impacted by all the job losses? Does every doctor and lawyer in the county live there, or the CEOs of all the companies that are laying off employees? Other communities like Carmel Valley, Bressi Ranch, 4S Ranch, etc., are getting hammered, but for some magical reason LCV is untouchable. What gives?
