‘Klinge’ pronounced

200px-Dorn_as_Worf.jpgWe pronounce it with a silent ‘e’.

"kling", like the klingons, although they are a little better-looking

  1. Klinge is actually a German word, meaning blade (like a knife blade).

No silent "e" in German though.

  2. Man, you dealing with a knife when buying and selling real estate? ;)

Are you of German descent, Jim?

  3. The proper German pronunciation is "kling-ga", with a soft ‘a’, right?

We’re Dutch – my grandfather grew up in Holland, Michigan, the youngest of 13 kids. But most were sisters though, so there aren’t that many Klinges left in Michigan, but there are hundreds of relatives.

    I think it means I’m sharp (?)

  4. Maybe that could be you new tag line:
"Klinge Realty – we’re cutting through the bullshit for you"
    :-)

  5. David Bowie’s real name is "David Jones" he picked "Bowie" in honor of a Bowie knife to cut through the bullshit.

I wonder if Jim knows David Bowie?

  6. Me and Dave go way back. Saw him at the Fabulous Forum on the China Girl tour. Not a huge fan but respect his creativity and ability to change as needed. Working on some of that for myself currently.
